Activating breakout rooms for HeyPeers meetings

Breakout rooms in meetings are smaller sessions that branch off from the main meeting. They allow group leaders and participants to connect in more intimate groups, with audio and video completely separated from the main session.
To use breakout rooms in your HeyPeers meetings, the feature must be enabled before the meeting begins, either during meeting creation or when editing an existing meeting. In other words, breakout rooms must be turned on outside the live session.
To activate breakout rooms:
- Go to the Create Meeting or Edit Meeting page.
- Make sure the Location field is set to HeyPeers
- Then, select the checkbox labeled Enable Breakout Rooms.
Once enabled, the host will be able to assign participants to breakout rooms during the meeting.

Breakout rooms are only available if HeyPeers has enabled the feature for your organization. If you don’t see the breakout room option in your meeting settings and would like to begin using it, please contact your HeyPeers account manager for assistance.
