How to get started with HeyPeers chat

HeyPeers Chat gives you the space and flexibility to create meaningful conversations and foster supportive communities. The Chat page offers a streamlined workspace where you can launch new chat rooms, guide ongoing discussions, and browse public conversations already underway.

To access the Chat page, select Chat from the top menu bar.

Discover chat rooms

This section of the Chat page lists all public group chat rooms. The chat rooms are listed in alphabetical order. A Search function has been added to help users easily find a chat room by using its name or any keywords in its description. We want users to find the best fit for the support they are seeking as easily as possible!

If you do not yet belong to any chat room, you will see this default view:

Each chat room is showcased as a tile featuring key details to help users identify its purpose at a glance.

  1. The name of the chat room
  2. A brief description about the chat room
  3. The first name and last initial of the chat room moderator.
  4. The total number of active members in the chat room. An active member is one who has posted a message within the past seven days.
