Microphone and camera permissions

If you're facilitating an online support group for the first time, your web browser may prompt you to grant permission to use your microphone and webcam. These tools are essential for participating in HeyPeers meetings. Please follow the steps below to enable access:

Google Chrome (Windows & macOS)

1. Open Chrome and go to HeyPeers.com.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security, then choose Site Settings.
5. Scroll to Permissions and select Camera or Microphone.
6. Find HeyPeers.com in the list of sites.
7. Use the drop-down menu to set Camera and/or Microphone to Allow.
8. Close the Settings tab and refresh the HeyPeers page.

Google Chrome (Android)

1. Open Chrome and visit HeyPeers.com.
2. Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Tap Site Settings.
4. Tap Camera or Microphone, then toggle to On.
5. If HeyPeers.com is listed under Blocked, tap it and change permissions to Allow.
6. Exit Settings and refresh the page.

Microsoft Edge (Windows & macOS)

1. Open Edge and go to HeyPeers.com.
2. Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar.
3. In the pop-up, use the drop-down menus next to Camera and Microphone to select Allow.
4. Close the dialog box and refresh the page.

macOS System Settings

1. Click the Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences on older versions).
2. Go to Privacy & Security, then select Camera and Microphone.
3. Toggle access On for the browser you're using (e.g., Chrome or Edge).
4. If you're screen sharing, enable Screen Recording permissions as well.
