Automatically Approve New Contact Requests

You have the option to automatically accept new contact requests from members. When this setting is turned on, any new request is approved right away without requiring you to review it manually. This can be helpful if you receive a high volume of requests or prefer a more streamlined workflow.

By default, automatic approval is turned off, and you can turn it on or off at any time.

How to Turn Automatic Approval On or Off

1. Open Settings
Click your profile photo or initials circle in the top menu bar, then choose Settings from the drop-down menu.

2. Go to the Preferences tab
On the Settings page, click the Preferences tab.
3. Find the automatic approval setting
At the bottom of the Preferences form, you’ll see a field labeled:
Automatically approve new contacts

This toggle controls whether new contact requests are approved automatically.
4. Turn automatic approval on or off

  • To turn it ON: Slide the toggle to the right.
The toggle will turn green when automatic approval is active.
    • To turn it OFF: Slide the toggle to the left.
    • The toggle will appear gray when automatic approval is inactive.
    5. Save your changes
Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your settings.

When Should I Use Automatic Approval?

Automatic approval can be helpful in several situations:

You receive a high volume of contact requests.
If you regularly get many requests, this setting saves time and reduces manual steps.

You want members to reach you more easily.
Turning this on removes a barrier for members who are seeking support.

    You prefer a streamlined workflow.
Automatic approval keeps your contact list up to date without requiring you to check for new requests.

You’re actively offering services or availability.
If you’re promoting meeting services or taking on new peers, automatic approval helps you stay responsive.

You may want to leave this setting off if you prefer to review each request individually or if you’re limiting your availability.
