How to close a chat room

Closing a chat room can be done on the Chat Room Edit page, accessible from within the chat room. 

NOTE: Closing a chat room will permanently erase all messages and history. This action is irreversible. If the chat room is associated with any meetings, the meeting’s chat history will remain, but the meetings will no longer be associated with the chat room.

To get started, open the My Chat page by selecting My Chat on the top menu bar.

Once on the My Chat page you will be able to find the group chat you'd like to close. 

Select Open Chat to enter the chat room.

You will be brought into your chat room. Locate the 3-dot icon on the top menu bar. Clicking on this opens up a drop-down menu. Select Edit.

The Edit Chat Room page will be displayed. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see a pink banner.

Click on Delete Chat Room to permanently close your chat room.
