How to Pause Your Peer Support Availability

There may be times when you need to step back from offering support, whether for rest, travel, personal commitments, or simply to manage your workload. You can temporarily pause your availability by hiding your profile and turning off incoming Peer Support Requests. This allows you to take a break without deleting anything or making permanent changes.

You can turn these settings on or off at any time.

What Happens When You Pause Your Availability

When you hide your profile or turn off requests:
  • Members will not see your profile in search results
  • Members cannot send you direct Peer Support Requests
  • Members cannot request a connection with you
  • Your existing contacts and past conversations remain unchanged
  • You can return and re-enable your availability whenever you are ready

How to Hide Your Profile and Turn Off Peer Support & Connection Requests

Click your profile photo or initials circle in the top menu bar, then choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
On the Settings page, click the Host tab.
The Supporter Information settings will be displayed. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Look for the options:
  • Available to receive direct peer support requests and connection requests from peers
  • Hide my profile
  • To hide your profile:
Toggle the Hide my profile setting to the right to turn it green.

  • To stop receiving new direct peer support requests and new connection requests:
Toggle the Available to receive direct peer support requests and connection requests from peers setting to the left to turn it gray.

You can use either option on its own or turn both off for a full break
Click Save to apply your settings.

Important Note:
Be sure to also turn off automatic contact approvals. For more information please see Automatically Approve New Contact Requests

How to Turn Off Your Meeting Services

If you offer Meeting Services, you will need to turn those off separately when you take a break. Hiding your profile or turning off Peer Support Requests does not disable your services. Members will still be able to see and select them unless you turn them off

Click your profile photo or initials circle in the top menu bar, then choose Meeting Services from the drop-down menu.

The Meeting Services page opens, listing all of your active and inactive meeting services.

On a meeting service tile, click Edit.

The Edit Meeting Service page opens, displaying the details of the meeting service.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Locate the Visibility option.  Toggle the field to the left to turn it gray.

Click Save to apply your changes.

Turning off your services prevents members from booking or requesting those services while you are unavailable.

Repeat the steps above for each meeting service that you wish to pause.

Important Note About Your Subscription Plan
Pausing your availability does not pause or change your Peer Supporter subscription payments. Your subscription will continue to renew as usual.

If you need to pause your subscription plan, please submit a ticket to Customer Care and they will assist you.
