General Questions

👉 What is a Peer Support Request?
A Peer Support Request is a member’s way of asking for a one-on-one session with a Peer Supporter. They share what they’re looking for, and you decide whether to respond.

👉 What are the types of requests?

  • General: Sent to multiple supporters; you choose whether to respond.
  • Direct: Sent only to you from your profile.
  • Meeting Service: Auto-accepted requests tied to a service you offer.

👉 Do I have to respond to every request?
No. You are never expected to respond to every request. You can skip any request that doesn’t align with your capacity, availability, or lived experience.
For general requests, this is fine because multiple peer supporters may respond. However, direct and meeting service requests are sent only to you, so it’s important to respond when you can to maintain a positive experience for members and the community.
