Subscribing to an organization

Subscribing to an organization on HeyPeers means officially associating yourself with that organization so it can support you more directly. When you subscribe, the organization gains access to limited details about your account, allowing it to better understand who is using its services and tailor offerings to your needs.

Subscribing is not the same as registering for a meeting or signing up for updates. It’s a way to establish a member relationship with the organization, which can help strengthen connection and improve your experience across meetings, chat rooms, and shared resources.

Note: Some organizations on HeyPeers require that you subscribe before you can register for and attend their meetings.

Do I have to subscribe to an organization?

Not always—subscription depends on the organization's preferences. On HeyPeers, some organizations require members to subscribe before registering for their meetings. Others allow you to join meetings without subscribing.

If you try to register for a meeting and subscription is required, you’ll see a prompt guiding you through the process before you can continue.

Ways to subscribe

There are three ways to subscribe to an organization.

1. Join through an organization

If you come to HeyPeers through a participating organization—for example, via a referral link or direct onboarding—you’ll be automatically subscribed.

2. Subscribe on the organization's profile page.

Visit the organization's profile page and click the Subscribe button to launch the subscription process.

Not sure how to find the profile page? See Understanding organizations on HeyPeers for step-by-step guidance.

3. Subscribe when registering for a meeting

If you're registering for a meeting hosted by an organization you haven’t yet subscribed to, you’ll be prompted to complete the subscription form before continuing with registration.

Filling out the subscription form

The subscription form is customized by each organization, so the questions may vary. No matter how you begin the subscription process, the form typically includes two sections:

1. Personal information

Some organizations collect basic details such as your email and location. All information is handled according to the HeyPeers privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe at any time if you wish to stop sharing your information with an organization.

Once you've completed section one, click Continue to move to the next section.

2. Subscription Survey

This section includes questions designed to help the organization better understand and support you. Your answers may inform how meetings are offered or how the organization communicates with its members

Fill out the survey, then click Continue to complete the subscription process.

Now that you've subscribed, you can register for the organization's meetings.
