Meeting services offered by independent Peer Supporters
Independent Peer Supporters on HeyPeers bring valuable lived experience and diverse perspectives to their one-on-one and group support sessions. Operating independently of formal programs, they offer confidential, meaningful support tailored to individual needs. Visit What is an independent Peer Supporter to learn more.
What are meeting services?
Meeting services refer to the individual support topics or focus areas that an independent Peer Supporter offers through one-on-one sessions. These services are centered around lived experience, personal growth, and shared understanding, and are designed to support you on your wellness journey.
Unlike scheduled group meetings or chat rooms, these one-on-one sessions are customizable and flexible: You browse the available services, choose the one that resonates most with your needs, and then request a time directly with the Peer Supporter using the peer support request feature.
Examples of meeting services may include:
- Navigating a life transition
- Building coping skills
- Exploring recovery tools
- Managing anxiety or stress
- Processing grief or loss
Each Peer Supporter defines their own specialties, so you can select someone whose experience and support style aligns with what you're looking for.
How to find a meeting service
You can browse all available meeting services on the Peer Supporters page. To get there, click Peer Supporters from the top menu bar.

The Peer Supporters page lists all independent Peer Supporters currently offering services on HeyPeers. If a Peer Supporter offers meeting services, you’ll see those displayed directly below their bio, making it easy to explore available one-on-one support options at a glance.
If you see a meeting service that interests you, simply click the service's icon to view more details.

The meeting service's details page gives you everything you need to know, including what the service covers, how long it lasts, and the price set by the Peer Supporter.

How to book a meeting service
Once you’ve found a meeting service and Peer Supporter that fits your needs, you can request a session by clicking Book Now.

The Peer Support Request page appears with the details of the meeting service you selected.
You’ll use the peer support request form to send your scheduling request directly to the Peer Supporter.
Complete the peer support request form by selecting:
- The time of day you prefer to meet (morning, afternoon, or evening) and
- The type of support or topic you’re looking for.
- Finally, click Submit to send your meeting request directly to the Peer Supporter.

You’ll be notified by email as soon as the Peer Supporter responds. Look for a message from HeyPeers with the subject line: “New Peer Support Proposal for your request.” This email will include the key details of their proposal.
You can also monitor the status of your request any time by visiting your Member Dashboard page. Click on View Request to open the details of your request and to view the proposal.

The proposal will be displayed below your request. Click View Proposal.

Feel free to connect with the Peer Supporter via the chat section if you have any questions or need clarification. It's a great way to get to know the peer supporter better before you accept the proposal.

Once you’ve accepted the proposal, you and your Peer Supporter can coordinate to find a meeting time that works best for both of you.
Use the chat section of your request to share availability and finalize the date and time.
Tip: Let your Peer Supporter know what time zone you're in to avoid any confusion when scheduling.

After your meeting time is confirmed, your Peer Supporter will schedule the session. You’ll then see a Register button appear on your request.
Click Register to confirm your spot and complete your payment.
Note: Your meeting won’t appear on the public calendar. It remains confidential between you and your Peer Supporter, so registration must be completed through your request.

Once payment is complete, you’re all set! The meeting will appear on your My Meetings page, and you’ll receive reminders to help you stay on track.
